Well, macro perhaps fits for secrets events. Usually a 50 can cover properly what you mean, or a zoom, as said before. Anyhow depends much in the "event". I think you guess any kind of homy celebration. But it won't be the same in the case of a horse race or a music concert fot what you would need another kind of gear
