If i wear these shoes to mumbai will they get ruined?

hi its my first time visting mumbai and im concerned that if i wear these sneakers (http://www.dsw.com/shoe/nike+women's+eclipse+ii+sneaker?prodId=209510) they will get ruined. i have had them for quite a while and kept them in pristine condition so i really dont want them to get wrecked. my only other shoe option is regular running shoes but theyre brand new (but i like them less). which pair should i take? i will take the first pair if i know they wont get ruined in which case i will take the second pair. please answer asap! thanks
